friendsrank = good work project

It's really been educational to try to implement this friends rank stuff because it really forces my understanding. And, even better, I keep finding phenomena similar to those on the web that we've encountered at work. (Unfortunately I probably shouldn't spell them out for fear of "spilling the beans". It's not like they're non-obvious, but the way I'd describe them is surely colored by work discussions.) But as discussions with mattm point out, it's really time to return to the literature. (I'd like to read about HITS, though he indicates it's not as fancy as PageRank.) Does anybody have any favorite researchers/authors publishing on webs of trust?
