I just had the weirdest computer experience ever: I wanted a file off of Jeff's computer, a horribly broken Win98 machine with a janky net card, but because I like to pretend things will work for me, I tried an "apt-get install gnome-vfs-extras". And then, without any further tweaking, I clicked on Computer, then Network, and there it was! And I could copy files!

I've never had such a painless experience with SMB networking on Win2k, let alone Linux to Win98 over wireless... my mind is still reeling. It almost gives a man hope.
