door buzzer

Brad's garage door hack inspired Matt (my roommate) to do a similar hack. Back in college Matt had actually hooked up his dorm room to unlock when he swiped his student ID through a card reader he mounted outside, so maybe these sorts of hacks are in his blood.

I can now press a button on my cell phone as I approach and the front door to my apartment building will unlock. It's nowhere near as complicated as Brad's setup but it's still pretty amazing and from The Future. (You still need a key to get into our apartment.)
