gnome 2.18 i18n buglet

Gnome 2.18 is out. Their release notes promise "support for vertical text layouts in Chinese and Japanese". Unfortunately, their screenshot shows exactly why this feature is more complicated than simply stacking the characters vertically: that hyphen-looking thing in the middle of the top word ought to be running vertically.

Update: bug 414264.
