It's always surprising to me how obvious some things feel in retrospect. I occasionally help out Haskell newbies and catch myself thinking, "Isn't this straightforward?" before I can remember how much I struggled. The comments on my project at work that before seemed intentionally opaque now seem to capture the essence of the problem (which is why they were written, after all) and, reading them now, I can't even remember what it was like to not have understood.
