google earth

I hate to just shadow the company's press releases (I don't actually read the Google blog), but this is worth mentioning: Google Earth (formerly keyhole) is now free.

Since the company was just an acquisition by Google, I don't feel like a puppet when I say that this is pretty much the coolest piece of software I've ever used on a PC. I actually keep Windows on my desktop solely to run it.
