erlang

Does anyone use Erlang? What's special about it? Everyone writes about parallelism but what about the language makes it especially suited for that? Without knowing the language well, it's hard to tease apart these language/environments to see what is unique*.


* I'm reminded of the great answers I got on my query about lisp. I'm reluctant to post my own impressions of Erlang 'cause that post prompted comments like "09:13:47 <tokenrove> xach: evan's original post is just such horrible typically uninformed lisp comments".
