I always maintain that time travel to the past results in events that were already evident in the present, and time travel to the future results in the setting in motion of events that were already inevitable, so I find it hard to get too emotional about time travel and temporal paradoxes.
However, this is a clever way to explain it, even if my brain insists on fighting it.
